- Rosa Parks was a civil rights activist in the 1960's. She was born in February of 1913. Referred to as the "first lady of civil rights."
- Parks was arrested December 1st of 1955, for sitting on a bust and refusing to move for a white man.
- Helped give the push and rush for the Montgomery Bus Boy Cot.

- Maddox was an American politician. Maddox served as the 75th Governor of Georgia. Term lasted from 1967 to 1971. Maddox was born in September of 1915.
- Maddox was a known segregationist in the 1960's.
- Maddox owned a Atlanta restaurant where he refused to serve African Americans.

- Marshall was and Associate Justice for the Supreme Court. Marshall's term was from 1967 to 1991.
- Marshall was the 96th Justice.
- Marshall was hugely known for being the first African American Justice for the United States Supreme Court.

- Huerta was born in 1930, and is known for winning awards such as the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
- Huerta was a known and still is known as a labor leader and civil rights activist.

- King was an American Baptist minister, activist, humanitarian. King was born in January of 1968.
- King was known as the leader in the African American Civil Rights Movement.
- King was also known for being a non violent person in protest.
- Widely known for his, "I Have a Dream Speech."
- Assassinated on April 4, 1968 in his hotel in Memphis Tennessee.

- Garcia was a Mexican- American World War II Veteran, and was also a civil rights advocate. Garcia was born on January 17, 1914 in Mexico.
- Known for as founding of American G.I. Forum.
- Fought for the rights of Hispanic Americans in the 1960's

- Chavez was an American farm worker in the 1960's that is known for being a labor leader. Chavez was born in 1927.

Betty Friedan:
- Friedan was an American writer, known as a leading figure in the Women's movement. Friedan was born in February of 1921.
- Friedan was known as a feminist and a Rights Activist.
- Friedan founded National Organization for Woman.
- Friedan was known for, "bringing women into society."

Malcolm X:
- Malcolm X was a American Mulsim Minister and was born in May of 1925.
- Malcolm X was known as a human rights activist.
- Malcolm X also started the organization the Black Panthers
- Malcolm X supported violence meeting violence, rather than peace.
- Malcolm X also believed in using Armed Self Defense

- Wallace was also the 45th governor of Alabama.

- Wallace was also known for his racist attitude towards African Americans
- He was also able to get the nick name, "most influential loser."

Orval Faubus:
- Faubus was the 36th governor of Arkansas, and was best known for his retaliation against the desegregation of the Little Rock School District. Faubus was born on January 7th, 1910.
- Faubus called on National Guard during the Little Rock Crisis not to let African Americans into schools.
